Computer Programming Lab

Computer Programming will include a series of semester courses. Students may elect to take one or several courses in this sequence. All courses will be aligned with the NH Community Technical College and may be taken for college credit through Project Running Start.
The first course in the series will be an introductory course-Computer Programming I. Students are expected to have Windows experience and a solid math background before taking this class. CP I introduces programming languages and teaches students how to develop software through the use of Visual Basic. Programming theory and logic will be presented through projects involving data manipulation and the study of planning methods.
CP I or Permission of Instructor is required for advanced courses. Additional courses include Computer Programming II, Advanced Programming/Java, and Advanced Programming/C++.
Software Developers and Programmers need an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Knowledge of computer languages, operating systems, and the ability to think logically are important skills for students entering this field.
