Child Development, Theory and Practice!

Are you interested in teaching as a career? This course focuses on the development of children from birth to age six, theories of child development, and applications of these theories to good teaching. As an assistant teacher in The Wright Start Preschool, you'll help young children grow and develop by managing all aspects of the preschool program. You'll gain valuable leadership skills, work with parents, participate in job shadow and internship activities, and work in the community through volunteer activities. Graduates of this program attend 4-year and 2-year colleges to earn teaching and teaching assistant certificates at all educational levels. Project Running Start college courses include Learning Environments for Young Children and Health, Nutrition and Safety.
