Students To Work With Revolution Energy
(Fall, 2009) Several of our teachers have been busy with the staff from Revolution Energy - the people overseeing the installation of
the new boilers at the Tuck Learning Campus, the new microturbine at Seacoast School of Technology and the largest array of solar panels
in the state at Exeter High School. Our students will be quite involved. Go to the Revolution Energy
website to follow the progress of the projects happening in SAU 16. SST students in Building Construction Technologies, Welding Technologies, Pre-Engineering and
Computer Programming have been involved with job meetings and site tours. They will be involved with certain hands-on aspects of the boiler and microturbine installation.
There will be many SST students taking part in the solar panel install at Exeter High School on or about December 4. These students are spending a great deal of time
this month with the team from Revolution Energy learning about all aspects of the project and installation. Students from Digital Communications have been filming job meetings.
This is a fantastic real-world opportunity for our students to learn about things relevant to their SST classes such as sustainability and green construction....Margaret Callahan
