Marketing Education at SST!

Marketing is the process of planning and executing the design, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and company objectives.
Here at SST... you will have the opportunity to learn the basic skills involved with Marketing Management, E-commerce and Web Development by choosing a career track that interests you. You will be involved with the operation of the “First Impressions”, a student run enterprise serving the students at SST. You will also have the opportunity to participate in work-based learning activities to further develop a career plan. Developing a career portfolio is also an integral part of your experience in Marketing. As a member of the Marketing team, you will have the opportunity to participate in DECA, our career and technical student organization which will help you develop leadership, social and marketing skills. Those students who qualify will have the opportunity to apply for the National Technical Honor Society. SSTDECA

All SST Marketing Education students have the opportunity to join the SST Chapter of DECA, an Association of Marketing Students. Participation in DECA activities helps develop professional skills and attitudes, leadership, and teamwork. These activities include social, competitive, and civic events at the local, state, and national level. By competing at the DECA State Career Development Conference, a student may qualify to attend the DECA International Career Development Conference. There they will compete with the best for national recognition and college scholarships.
