Summer Camps at SST

SUMMER CAMPS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

June 26 - 30, 2017

Summer Camp Application

Exciting summer camps will be offered once again to students who are currently in the 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grade. One-week camp sessions will take place during the week of June 26, 2017. Each day’s session will run from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. Students are responsible for their own transportation. No food will be served. Each camp will run contingent upon enrollment. A student will be considered enrolled once the enrollment and medical forms are complete and a check made payable to the Seacoast School of Technology has been received and cleared. Camp sign-ups will begin on March 20, 2017. Registration forms must be postmarked no earlier than Friday, March 17, 2017. 

The following camps will be offered on a first-come, first served basis:


Future Architects 

Want to learn what it’s like to design buildings and be an architect or a civil engineer? In this camp, you will learn about what makes structures work while having fun. You will design buildings by hand and on the computer, learn about green building techniques and get to know some of the world’s most famous structures and the architects who designed them. Campers will solve design challenges, enjoy model-making activities and discover Exeter’s unique architecture on a local field trip. Limited to 15 students. Total cost $135.

Pet Detectives Wanted! 
Come do some investigative work on what it is like to care for both large and small animals. Students will spend their time learning about poultry, livestock and companion animals. Care and handling, as well as important background knowledge will be covered as detectives discover the amazing world of animals. Limit 12 students. Total cost $135.


Engine Overhaulin’  SESSION FULL
If you enjoy cars, engines, and you are interested in horsepower, this is the camp for you! You will learn about engine basics and performance and get your hands dirty dismantling and rebuilding automobile engines. In this camp, you will use Snap-On tools to perform these tasks and will get a good understanding of what skills are needed to become a successful automotive technician. Campers are required to wear pants and boots. One pair of safety glasses will be provided. Limit 12 students. Total cost $135. 

Become a Builder 
Want to learn basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools? Want to learn proper safety techniques to use in a workshop or on a construction site? Sign up for this camp and each day you will build an exciting new project with the tool of the day. Campers are required to wear pants and no open-toed shoes. Limit 12 students. Total cost $135.

The non-refundable fee (unless program is cancelled) of $135 per week is valid for completed applications and health forms received through Friday, April 7, 2017.


In the event that SAU 16 has 4 (or more) additional weather-related cancellations after March 5, SST Summer Camp for Middle School Students will be cancelled and your check will be returned.


After April 7, 2017 the non-refundable fee (unless program is cancelled) will be $145.


No refunds for natural disasters, local emergencies, loss of power or water, etc.


A letter confirming your child’s placement will be mailed to you after May 1, 2017.
