Bikes for Tikes – FFA students in Welding, Animal & Plant, and Technology Careers
collected, took apart, cleaned and painted over 100 bikes to give to needy children in the
community. Families First will help distribute the bikes to children in the Seacoast. This
project was supported by Timberland Corporation, which provided many of the supplies to
make the bikes look like new and personnel to provide support and technical advice to the
students. Other partners in this project included: Bicycle Bob’s, Exeter Cycles, Exeter Health
Resources, Recycled Sports of NH, Gus’s International Bike Shop, Pedro’s, Seacoast Area Bike
Routes, AutoZone, Wheel Power, Paul Blair and Dr. Richard Miller. The students have spent
countless hours after school and on weekends getting these ready so that Santa will make
special holidays for many children in the Seacoast.
